Kathleen Felty, Mezzo-Soprano, is a Fellow at the AJ Fletcher Opera Institute at the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC, where she is pursuing a Master of Music in Vocal Performance. Kathleen holds a BBA in Marketing and a BM in Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University. At Fletcher, Kathleen has performed the roles of Angelina La Cenerentola, Geneviève Impressions de Pelléas, Dinah Trouble in Tahiti, Komponist Ariadne auf Naxos, and Paula Florencia en el Amazonas. Her concert work includes Handel’s Messiah, Durufle’s Requiem. This summer, Kathleen joins the Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice, where she will cover the role of Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos. Next season at Fletcher, Kathleen will be performing the role of Charlotte Werther, as well as roles in The Turn of the Screw and Rodelinda. Kathleen was awarded Second Place in the 2018 Charlotte Opera Guild Competition and is a three-time District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
