Mexican musician, Oscar Hernandez, is an emerging classical pianist, collaborative pianist, and conductor.

Mr. Hernandez's conducting debut took place at Wake Forest University in 2010 where he conducted the North Forsyth High School Women's Choir. He served as Apprentice Conductor and Chorus Master for Wingate University’s 2013 – 2014 Opera Season.

Mr. Hernandez served as the collaborative pianist for Wingate University Singers, Chamber Choir, and Men’s Choir during their 2011 – 2012 and 2013 – 2014 seasons.  He has also collaborated with local schools, including:  Ledford High School, Hanes Middle School, Parkland High School, and East Forsyth Middle School and High School.

Mr. Hernandez served as Director of Sacred Music for Good Shepherd Catholic Church in King, NC from 2007 to 2016. He also served as Director of Music for St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Winston Salem, NC from 2012 to 2016.  He currently serves as organist and pianist at Trinity Moravian Church in Winston Salem, NC.

Mr. Hernandez serves as the Executive Director for Kernersville Music Academy as well as the primary piano instructor.  He also serves as Adjunct Piano Faculty at Bennett College in Greensboro.

Mr. Hernandez holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Music with an emphasis in Piano from Wingate University.  He currently serves as  a collaborative pianist at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he is pursuing a Master of Music Degree in Collaborative Piano.  Mr. Hernandez studies under the instruction of Dr. Allison Gagnon.
